I’ve done a 5-6 hour research. Testing various games on four different modchips. I’ve tested the following games on PAL wii’s: Wiisports original, Mario Galaxy PAL, Mario Kart PAL and Wiifit (original). I left all the updates on the games and when prompted I also installed the update. The wii modchips I tested are Argon, D2pro, D2Ckey and Wiikey 1.9s. Here are the results:

So all chips + updates are working fine. I will test Wasabi on compatability too when I get my hands on it.
